Do parrots fall in love? Are pigeons intelligent ? Humans consider themselves to be unique. but there is growing evidence that other animals can be creative. logical and feel emotions. Animal Minds goes inside the heads of our fellow creatures. and meets some surfing, fun-loving dolphins, a destructive dog, a lovelorn sheep, an insanely jealous macaw and a cockatoo on Prozac. Pigeons can outwit art students with their ability to tell a Monet from a Picasso, and baboons suffer the same stress as todav's office-bound executives. The final programme addresses the important moral issues of animal consciousness. and whether they do have an understanding of life and death. Episode Titles: (1) Are Animals Intelligent? |
